Join us for an exciting online event that aims to engage and empower Asian Pacific Islander
communities! The APA API Interest Group is pleased to announce a three-part webinar series that
will offer insights on planning, housing, public health, and economic development challenges facing
API communities in the United States. The first webinar is scheduled on January 24, 2024, while the
other two webinars are planned for March and June 2024 (AICP | CM pending).
Whether you are a member of the Asian Pacific Islander community or interested in learning more about
these communities, this event is for you! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with like-minded
individuals, gain knowledge and contribute to the growth and empowerment of these communities.
Our esteemed speakers will share their insights, experiences, and strategies for creating positive
change. The January webinar will feature panelists from the Vietnamese community in San Jose,
California, the Hmong community in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Cambodian community in Long
Beach, California, and the Thai community in Los Angeles. Community leaders will discuss their unique
and shared experiences and how their city or organization is supporting, advocating, and empowering
their respective communities. Panelists will also discuss how local officials and planners can
effectively engage API communities on planning issues that impact these communities.
